Woman Injured In Fall On Carnival Sensation

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It was the Coast Guard to the rescue after a woman took a tumble on a Carnival cruise ship off the coast of Palm Beach.

On Wednesday, the Coast Guard was contacted by the crew of the Carnival Sensation who said a 52-year old woman had fallen in an elevator and had severely injured both of her legs.

Coast Guard Air Station Miami launched a helicopter which hoisted the injured woman off the ship and flew her to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach.

Carnival Cruise Line has not commented on the incident.
