MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Heat superstar Dwyane Wade had a message for Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant on Instagram Tuesday night, “Note to self: Make him replace your place in history…again…”
The comment from Wade came after Durant told Cinesport.com that Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden should replace Wade on SI.com’s list of Top 10 players in 2014. The popular theme on Wade for the last several seasons has been that he’s lost a step and is not the same player he once was. Last year, Wade averaged 21.2 points, 5.1 assists, 5 rebounds, and 1.9 steals while shooting 52.1 percent from the floor.
Statistically speaking, Harden outplayed Wade averaging 25.9 points, 5.8 assists, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.8 steals while shooting 43.8 percent from the field. Still, harden was the only offense Houston had last year and he is also seven years younger than Wade.
