Tropical Depression 10 Forms In Gulf

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Tropical Depression 10 has formed in the southern Gulf of Mexico.

Excessive rainfall is expected over eastern Mexico as TD#10 moves west.

As of 5 p.m., the depression is 175 miles east of Veracruz, has winds of 35 mph and is moving west at 7 mph.

A tropical storm warning is in effect for Coatzacoalcos to Barra De Nautla.

Tropical storm conditions are expected within the next 36 hours.

Some strengthening is expected.

The depression could produce 10 to 15 inches of rain over a large part of eastern Mexico with some isolated amounts nearing 25 inches of rainfall.
