Funeral Held For Sixth Hialeah Mass Shooting Victim

HIALEAH (CBSMiami) – A prayer service and viewing was held Sunday night for the sixth victim killed in the Hialeah shooting rampage, July 26.

Patricio Simono was honored during the services at San Jose Funeral Home in Hialeah.

He was shot and killed along with his wife Merly Niebles and step-daughter, 17-year-old Priscilla Perez.

Police killed the shooter, Pedro Vargas, after an eight hour standoff.

Seven people died that night, including Vargas.

The City of Hialeah has set up a fund to anyone wishing to help the victim's families.
