Sun To Start, More Rain On The Way
MIAMI (CBS4) – We'll see some sun to start Sunday but more rain is in the forecast for the afternoon.
Heavy storms developed early on Saturday to dump anywhere from 1 to nearly 3 inches of rain.
Hardest hit areas included Hollywood to northeast Miami-Dade where some street flooding was reported.
The stage is set for another stormy afternoon on Sunday as atmospheric moisture remains high, according to CBS4 meteorologist Craig Setzer. Expect a high of around 88F on Sunday.
Steering winds remain light which means storms that develop will move slowly and produce more local downpours and possible street flooding.
Sunday evening will be mostly cloudy with 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows will be in the upper 70s with light winds.
By Monday, steering winds shift to a pattern that will carry storms inland.
