Deputies Need Help Locating Missing Mom

POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) – Broward County Sheriff's deputies need help locating the mother of a child who was left with a babysitter earlier this week and never returned.

BSO Child Protective Services said the child is a 4-year-old boy named Julian.

However, he does not know where his mom may be located or have information about her.

He speaks English and Creole.

The neighbor said to investigators that the mother dropped the boy off, Monday, July 22 and said she planned to return to pick him up in a day or two.

Thursday night, Pompano Beach Fire Rescue was called to the home for a child needing medical assistance.

When they arrived, BSO said the child was taken to a hospital for a medical condition.

According to deputies, the mom is not in trouble and has nothing to fear.

"We're concerned for her safety, we want to make sure she's okay," said Mike Jachles with BSO.

BSO said the woman may have a reason for not returning, perhaps in a hospital, but deputies need to know more information about Julian's medical condition.
