Schools Get White Hot For The Heat

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Miami Heat want to get students and teachers involved with the Eastern Conference Finals matchup against the Indiana Pacers.

The Heat asked Students and teachers to show their Miami Heat spirit by dressing in all white at both Miami-"Wade" County and "LeBroward" County Public Schools on Friday.

It's called White Hot HEAT Day and everyone in schools, even the principal, is being encouraged by the team to wear white to support the Heat as they take on the Indiana Pacers during the 2013 NBA Eastern Conference Finals.

The Heat said the promotion isn't just for school children as they want fans all over South Florida to wear white Friday to support the franchise's quest for back-to-back championships.

Fans that wear their White Hot gear throughout the day and night and post their pictures on Instagram using the hashtag #WhiteHotHEATFan will be featured on Miami Heat's website.

Fans can also upload pictures of themselves to CBSMiami.com's White Hot Heat gallery to show their support for the franchise as well by clicking here.
