EXCLUSIVE: Prosecutors Release Pictures Of Deadly South Beach Hit-And-Run

MIAMI (CBSMIAMI) – New pictures released Friday of the 20-year-old woman accused of driving drunk when she allegedly struck and killed a Miami Beach chef show her distraught with apparent bruises to her face.

The Dodge Charger Karlie Tomica allegedly used to drive home during the early morning hours of January 28, 2013, is pictured with damage to the front passenger side with half of the windshield shattered and a missing passenger side mirror.

The pictures, released by the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, also show the contents of the car, which included a black purse in which she kept an ID badge for Nikki Beach where she worked as a bartender.

Prosecutors say Tomica was "highly intoxicated" and "traveling at a high rate of speed" down Collins Avenue in her boyfriend's gray Charger when she killed 49-year-old Stefano Riccioletti.

Riccioletti, the executive chef at the Shore Club on Miami Beach, was on his way to work when he was struck. He died on impact.

Tomica is charged with DUI Manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident with death, DUI with property damage and resisting an officer without violence.

The self-proclaimed "party princess" has her next court date on August 26th.
