"America's Most Wanted" Canceled Again

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – "America's Most Wanted," the show that launched John Walsh to stardom and helped lead to the capture of over a thousand criminals has been canceled, according to TV Guide Magazine.

Walsh, whose son Adam was murdered in South Florida, was the show's host and executive producer. The show had been picked up by Lifetime, but was canceled after airing on the network since December 2, 2011.

According to the Huffington Post, since the show was launched in 1988 on Fox, 1,202 fugitives have been captured worldwide. TV Guide Magazine said Lifetime is looking to create another series with Walsh.

"America's Most Wanted" was canceled three other times, according to the Huffington Post.
