Don't Put Away The Umbrella Just Yet

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – People all over South Florida went to sleep and woke up to mostly light rainfall across the area. While the skies were gray to start the day, sunshine should start to break through Tuesday afternoon.

If the clouds do break and the sunshine can get through, temperatures will quickly climb into the mid-80's by Tuesday afternoon. Combined with the leftover moisture in the atmosphere, the atmosphere may pump out a stray afternoon thunderstorm.

The rain chance continues into Wednesday as a weak cold front arrives. Later in the week as drier air moves into the area the threat for rain decreases, sunshine increases, and temperatures remain pleasant.

High temperatures should remain in the low 80's this weekend while lows will be in the mid to upper 60's.
