Temperatures Set To Tumble Across South Florida

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Get ready to bundle up South Florida, another cold shot of air will arrive this weekend.

The cool air has already started to spill south. Highs Friday under mostly cloudy skies will be near 70. That's comfortable but 10 degrees below normal.

Temperatures will continue to slide with breezy Northwest winds over the weekend.

Saturday, expect highs only in the mid 60s and Sunday, temperatures will likely stay in the 50s most of the day, a solid 20 degrees below normal. With breezy winds it will feel even colder.

Most of the weekend will feature a lot of clouds. The coldest morning will be Monday as lows settle into the upper 30s and low 40s.

Our records are 38 in Ft Lauderdale and 39 in Miami which means we will be near record lows.

With bright sun returning Monday and Tuesday afternoon that will help temperatures rebound to near normal by midweek.
