COCONUT GROVE (CBS4) – Reports of shots fired in the area of Elizabeth and Grand in Coconut Grove Wednesday led to a massive police presence in the area.

According to Miami Police, a few men in the area were detained for questioning.

Miami Police said the shooting started with 3 men firing shots.

The shots were close enough to St. Hugh Catholic School for the school to be put on a temporary lockdown, according to the Archdiocese of Miami. The school is located at 3460 Royal Road.

Also placed on temporary lockdown were Ransom Everglades, Carver Middle School, Carver High School and Carrolton High.

No one was hit by the bullets, according to police, but the scene is still “very active” and they are searching for other possible suspects.
