MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The sun may be shining brightly outside, but there’s a definite chill in the air across South Florida. The cooler weather is likely to hang around throughout the rest of the weekend.

Temperatures across the area were as much as 20 degrees cooler in some places after a cold front passed through the area. Behind the front, there was a strong breeze and temperatures were struggling to reach 70 degrees Friday.

Over the next few days, clouds could roll in on Saturday, but temperatures will remain very seasonal through Monday. Temperatures should be in the mid 70’s over the weekend with lows in the 50’s.

Another cold front will bring a reinforcing shot of cool air on Sunday and early next week our seasonal weather pattern will continue as we kick off the month of February.
