Wallenda's High Flying Sarasota Walk

SARASOTA (CBS4) – High wire daredevil Nik Wallenda wowed the crowds in Sarasota Tuesday morning when he crossed U.S. 41 nearly 200 feet in the air.

Hundreds of people lined the highway to watch Wallenda take the walk without a safety harness. The only thing carried was a 45 pound balancing pole.

Wallenda is a six time Guiness World Book of Records holder.

Last year, he completed an historic walk above Niagara Falls, but unlike the Sarasota attempt, he used a safety harness.
