Palmetto Expy. Accident Snarls Traffic
DORAL (CBSMiami) – Northbound traffic came to a standstill on State Road 826/Palmetto Expressway Sunday afternoon after a two vehicle accident.
The accident happened just after 1:30 p.m. near the NW 36th Street exit. According to investigators, a truck carrying cardboard was stopped in a middle lane of the highway when it was struck by an SUV.
Initial reports indicate that here were multiple injuries, non were critical. The injured were taken to Palmetto General Hospital.
The traffic lanes remained closed until all of the cardboard could be picked up.
