Miami Pop Warner Football Team Come Home Champs
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – It was a victorious homecoming for a Liberty City Pop Warner football team thanks to the community which stepped up to make their dream come true.
The Tacolcy Raiders unior pee-wees arrived back in Miami Saturday night with a Super Bowl trophy. The team won the championship for its weight division in Orlando.
The team, however, almost didn't make the trip because they couldn't afford it. After hearing their story, the community came through and donated more than $19,000 so the kids could compete.
