FAU’s potential move to Conference USA comes nearly eight months after the conference invited Florida International University to join. Conference USA has been trying to stay relevant as the Big East has continually raided it during the realignment circus.

The Big East has poached the University of Central Florida, the University of Memphis, Tulane University, University of Houston, and Southern Methodist University along with East Carolina in football from Conference USA.
