Bicyclist In Sunrise Struck, Killed Wednesday Morning
SUNRISE (CBSMiami) — A bicyclist died after being hit by a pickup truck Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred around 6 a.m. just south of Sunrise Boulevard, near the intersection of 136th Avenue and Northwest 12th Street, according to Sunrise Police Department.
According to investigators Anthony McKinney, who was on the bicycle, and the driver of the truck were both traveling northbound on NW 136 Ave. At the 1200 block, the driver of the pickup truck struck McKinny from behind.
Investigators spoke with the driver who stayed on the scene and has been coopering with investigators.
