Baby Found Dead In Car At Doral Academy

DORAL (CBSMiami) – A tragic scene unfolded Tuesday evening at Doral Academy after a six-month-old baby girl was found dead inside a car.

Senior law enforcement sources told CBS4 News the child was left in the car all day, approximately nine hours. The father had the child in the back seat in the morning and forgot the child was in the car, according to the source.

Around 5 p.m., the father drove to Doral Academy where the baby's brother is in school. When the brother got into the car, the dead baby girl's body was discovered.

The distraught father is being questioned by police and said it's not part of his regular routine to take the baby.

"It's a terrible tragedy," the police official said.
