Royal Victory For Prince William & Catherine In Topless Photo Fight

NANTERRE, France (CBSMiami/AP) -- Prince William and his wife, Catherine are probably quite happy Tuesday after learning about their legal victory.

A French court has ordered the publisher of gossip magazine "Closer" to hand over those topless pictures of the Duchess of Cambridge in the next 24-hours.

The magazine was also blocked from further publication of the images in its magazine, website and tablet application. It was also ordered to pay a fine.

The magazine published 14 photos of a partially clad Kate in its pages on Friday.

A source close to the royal family said the royal couple "welcome" the injunction.

Criminal charges are now being considered for invading their privacy.

If the royal family had hoped to block international publication, it was too late. Publications in Ireland and Italy already went ahead with them. Tuesday's ruling only affects the French publisher.
