Tailgating Parking Tips at Sun Life Stadium

Game day can be hectic for Miami Dolphins fans. The lines are ridiculously long for everything from the entrance to the food, and it starts with the parking. So if you're planning on tailgating, here are a few simple tips that can save you a lot of time and enhance your experience even before you crank up the grill.

General Rules

As a Dolphins fan, you want to arrive early to get a prime tailgating spot. Parking lots open four hours before the game begins and remain open two hours after it ends. Fans who arrive within the first hour get to choose where they want to park while all others will be directed where to park by parking attendants. To find out which gate is closest to your seats, view the Sun Life Stadium parking diagram before arrival. After parking, fans are invited to tailgate in the 8x10 space located behind their car. If you finish tailgating early, stadium gates open two hours before the game begins so you can make your way to your seat early and avoid the lines.

VIP Parking/Season Ticket Holder Parking

Season ticket holders not only get to see the Dolphins year round, they also get the best parking at the best rate. For $20 per game, lower- and upper-level season ticket holders get access to premium parking marked by the orange parking areas inside the stadium fence wall. Club-level ticket holders can park in the blue seating area and suite ticket owners can park in the VIP area (maroon and purple areas). All season ticket holders can either buy tickets individually or they can pre-pay for the whole season by calling Sun Life Stadium at (305) 943-8000. Valet parking is also available to certain club-level members but they must pre-order the service by calling 1-888-FINS-TIX and pressing option 2.

Non-Season Ticket Holder Parking

Non-season ticket holders don't have it as cushy as season ticket holders, but they still have access to some prime parking. For $25 per game, non-season ticket holders can park in the orange cash lots located across the street from Sun Life Stadium. From there, it's a short walk to the game.

Disabled Parking

Disabled parking is available to all fans with a valid handicap placard. They can enter through the main gate and park at stadium gates A, C, E and G depending on where their seats are located. If all of the 250 available disabled parking spaces run out, valet parking is offered as a courtesy to disabled fans. Parking rates are $25.

RV, Limo & Bus Parking

Sun Life Stadium has individual parking for larger vehicles such as RVs, limos and buses. The bus lot is located at parking gate 7 and the RV lot is across the street in parking gate 8. Limos can park at parking gate 4. It costs $80 per game to park in either of these lots.
