NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBSMiami) — A 16-year-old boy is recovering at the hospital Friday after being shot in the legs in Northwest Miami-Dade on Thursday night.
The shooting took place around 10:20 p.m. Police said the teen was sitting on an electric box at the corner of Northwest 196th Terrace and 52nd Place when he was approached by a another teenager who looked to be between 15 and 18-years old, according to Miami Dade police.READ MORE: Teens Cashing In As Employers Look To Fill Part Time Jobs

“He did shoot multiple times and that is the danger involved with this. You have residents sleeping at that time, that are home, children that are home, and these stray bullets may end up being a tragedy and the subjects of course don’t think of that,” said Miami-Dade Police Spokesman Det. Alvaro Zabaleta.
