Cash Stolen During Circle K Armed Robbery

POMPANO BEACH (CBSMiami) – A convenience store clerk got quite the scare when he was held up by two armed men.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. at the Circle K on NE 23rd Avenue in Pompano Beach.

Michael Scott said the men stormed the store and demanded cash.

"They threatened me. They wanted me to open the drawer, open the drawer," said Scott. "I saw the gun, I was so scared and they said 'Hurry up, hurry up' and it took me and I pushed the buttons to open it. When I opened it, they took the money."

Scott said they didn't stop there.

"I was going to open the other drawer, but they didn't even want the other drawer. But they wanted my wallet, they said they wanted my wallet. So I gave them whatever money I had in my wallet, which wasn't much."

The men then ran out of the store. Scott wasn't injured but was a little shaken up.
