MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The Space Shuttle program has long ended, but if you looked out towards the Atlantic from Miami Friday afternoon, you likely saw the Shuttle passing across the horizon.
The full-size replica of the shuttle, known as Explorer, was being pulled on a barge from Cape Canaveral, Florida to Houston when it passed by Miami Friday. The Kennedy Space Center needed the room because space shuttle Atlantis will go on display at the space center in the summer of 2013.
