DAVIE (CBSMiami) – A Sunrise woman was killed, another person injured, in multi-vehicle crash early Thursday morning on I-595.

Florida Highway Patrol crash investigators said Wilber Saintubert, 36, was heading westbound when he lost control and slammed into the left side of vehicle driven by 20-yea old Bertha Rodriguez-Garcia. A third vehicle, described as a small dark colored SUV which will have serious front end damage, fled the scene after the crash.

Saintubert was taken to Westside Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
