Local Rapper Brisco Guilty Of Battery

NORTH MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Local rapper, British "Brisco" Mitchell agreed Friday to a plea deal that will see him serve no jail time and no probation on a charge of misdemeanor battery.

Brisco had been charged with aggravated battery last July after he allegedly assaulted a former business associate.

The charge stemmed from an a June 2011 incident in the parking lot of an apartment building in the 2000 block of Sans Souci Boulevard.

According to police, Mitchell went to the apartment building where Giovanni Nagy lived on the morning of June 30th after he allegedly threatened him via text messages. When Mitchell arrived, he allegedly demanded that Nagy step outside. Nagy's mother went down to intervene on her son's behalf and try to calm Mitchell down.

According to the police report, when that didn't work Nagy went outside to protect his mother and that is when Mitchell punched him until his was unconscious. Nagy's mother took pictures of Mitchell with her cell phone as he was beating her son, according to the police report.

Mitchell was ordered Friday to have no violent contact with the victim in the case and must also enter anger management.
