Gas Prices Continue To Edge Higher
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The price at the pump is steadily heading closer to four dollars a gallon. In the last month it's gone up nearly 20 cents in Miami-Dade and Broward with no signs of slowing down.
In the last month the price at the pump nationwide has jumped nationwide about 28 cents to $3.72 on average for a gallon of regular unleaded, according to GasBuddy.com. In Florida, regular unleaded has jumped 20 cents to $3.80, according to the American Automobile Association. Last year at this time, that same gallon was running around $3.54.
In Miami-Dade and Ft. Lauderdale, drivers are paying more than the state average; a regular unleaded is running $3.86 and $3.87 respectively. Last year at this time regular unleaded gas averaged $3.56 in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami.

Pensacola, where unleaded regular is averaging $3.68 a gallon, is the cheapest places in the state to fill up.
West Palm Beach is the most expensive place to top off the tank; regular unleaded is averaging $3.89 a gallon.
