Coast Guard Begins Search For Overboard Cruise Ship Passenger

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The Coast Guard has joined in the search of a missing cruise ship passenger who is believed to have fallen overboard.

Search and Rescue crews were dispatched to the searching a 900 mile span of the Atlantic Ocean for the missing 47 year old woman after a thorough search of the Bahamas Celebration cruise ship determined she was no longer on board.

The ship was returning to to Palm Beach from Freeport, Bahamas Wednesday.

Anyone with more information on the missing person in the water are asked to contact 7th Coast Guard District search and rescue coordinators at 305-415-6800.
