Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Crash

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4)- Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed in Fort Lauderdale.

According to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, the crash occurred in the 1600 block of North Dixie Highway at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Friday.

After investigating, police discovered that 55-year-old Robert Luna of Fort Lauderdale was traveling northbound in the 1600 block of North Dixie Highway when his 2011 black Hyundai struck 42-year-old Myron Kisak.

Kisak was walking eastbound across the roadway.

The front end of Luna's Hyundai made contact with Kisak, who was not in a crosswalk.

Kisak was pronounced dead on scene.

Police said the investigating is ongoing.

No charges have been filed against the driver so far.
