Ex-ICE Chief's Child Porn Trial Pushed Back

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) – The trial of South Florida's former top official at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement office on child porn charges has been pushed back.

Anthony Mangione's lawyer asked for the delay to allow a defense expert more time to analyze computers allegedly used in the crime.

On Monday a federal judge reset Mangione's trial from March 5 to May 14.

Mangione, 51, was arrested last September after child pornography images were allegedly found on a computer in his Parkland home during a search in April.  He's charged with possessing, receiving and transporting child pornography using private Internet accounts. ICE conducts many investigations into child pornography.

Mangione has pleaded not guilty and is free on $75,000 bail. The charges carry a combined maximum 50-year prison sentence.
