Much-Needed Picture Perfect Weather Weekend

MIAMI (CBS4) -- Cool 60s greeted South Floridians on Friday morning with some areas seeing the coolest morning lows since last March.

High pressure over the middle of the country will keep the air dry with another cool night in store Friday when lows drop into the 50s in many spots.

The weekend outlook is great with a slight breeze and clear skies and temperatures hovering around 80 both Saturday and Sunday. There is a slight chance of rain on Sunday.

A slow warm up is forecast into next week.

Here's another reminder that hurricane season is not over. There's a tropical disturbance in the southern Caribbean that has a medium potential for development over the next two days.

Hurricane hunters are scheduled to investigate this area on Saturday. This is the time of the year for South Florida when forecasters watch the western and southern Caribbean tropical threats.
