Miami, Lauderdale Sets Heat Records
MIAMI (CBS4) – If you thought Sunday was extraordinarily hot – you were right.
The National Weather Service reports Miami set a record high for the day. At Miami International Airport the thermometer reached 97 degrees which broke the old record of 95 degrees set in 1993.
At Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport the temperature reached 97 degrees which broke the old record for the day of 96 degrees set back in 1924.
