NORTH MIAMI (CBS4) – The resident of a North Miami apartment unit who forced the evacuation of her building says it was all a big misunderstanding.
Meryse Pierre says she was using chemicals to fumigate her home when neighbors called the police to report the noxious smell emanating from her unit.

Neal Cuevas says officers were called to the scene at 1425 NE 125 Terrace just before 8 p.m. Once they arrived they found several containers inside Pierre’s unit, along with several notes in English, Spanish and Creole stating that whoever opened the door “would meet Jesus”. More than a dozen units were evacuated on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floors.
Pierre told CBS4’s Natalia Zea that the notes were of a religious nature.
