Cuban TV Photos Show Healthy Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro
MIAMI (CBS4)- Several new photos featuring Fidel Castro and a recovering Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez were aired on Cuban television Tuesday night.
The meeting comes two weeks after Chavez underwent emergency surgery to reportedly remove an abscess on his pelvis.
Cuban state TV says the photos were taken Tuesday morning and the two leaders were in the company of family members and "reminisced about the past."
Both Chavez and Castro wore track suits, with the Venezuelan president looking healthy despite reports surfacing Monday that the embattled leader was "extremely critical" following the surgery.
Cuban television reporters did not say when Chavez would be returning to Venezuela.
