Lighthouse Point Man Accused Of Having Sex With Teen
LIGHTHOUSE POINT (CBS4) - A Lighthouse Point man is accused of having sexual relations with a minor and taking photographs of them in the act.
According to the Lighthouse Point Police, around 2:30 a.m. a officer came upon a teenage girl loitering in the 1900 block of NE 31st Street. When he asked her what she was doing, she at first gave conflicting stories, according to the authorities, but then said she had been a with a guy named "Geoffrey" and she didn't know his last name.
She then pointed out an apartment and when deputies knocked on the door they were met by 31-year old Geoffrey Madge. According to Madge's arrest affidavit, the officers determined that he and the girl had had sex. After Madge was taken into custody and read his rights, the officers said Madge admitted that he and the girl did have sex on five or six occasions.
The officers then told Madge they had seen naked pictures of the girl on her cell phone and believed he had taken them since her phone didn't have a camera. When they examined Madge's phone they found two videos of the girl performing sex acts on him and nude pictures of her.
According to the arrest report, Madge told the officers "She wanted me to film her."
The girl told authorities she originally had told Madge she was 19 years old and only admitted to him she was 16 over the weekend when she turned 17 years old. She said she and Madge had been having consensual sex every other day for the last three weeks.
According to Madge, he only learned she was 17 years old over the weekend and admitted to having sex with her twice after he learned she was underage.
Madge has been charged with one count of having sex with a minor and two counts of possession of photographs depicting sexual performance by a minor; bond was set at $25 thousand.
