SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) – A South Florida health center is giving people a chance to try different ways to live better and each week they can experience a different kind of class.

The experience has been life changing for Cristina Martinez who was overweight months ago and has since lost a lot of weight.
“They do not recognize me. They recognize me when I smile,” said Martinez to CBS4’s Jorge Estevez
Martinez is taking part in free weekly classes being offered at the Florida Blue Center.
“The goal is to help other people understand which program may be fit for them,” said Martha Garcia, director of the Florida Blue Center. The staff at the center in South West Miami Dade does more than sell health insurance. health screenings, consultations, and games that teach people about health.
“All of us are on a journey in pursuit of health and really that is what our focus is, to help everyone on that journey,” said Garcia.
Even though the class is free, the take away from these kinds of workouts is priceless.
“The fact that it is available to the public opens up a new realm of things you might not have access to before,” said Martinez.
