The weekend is also going to the dogs, and cats. The Humane Society of Greater Miami is hoping you open your hearts and arms at their Pet Mega Adopt-A-Thon happening Saturday and Sunday and as a bonus the society is reducing their adoption fees for the weekend.
If you’re looking for something with a little more punch, then start your engines because here we go again! Vin Diesel and Paul Walker are revising their roles in the popular “The Fast and the Furious” franchise. “Fast Five” revs ups at the box office starting Friday. It’s rated PG-13.

Chef Jonathan Eismann from Spartico at Mayfair Hotel & Spa in Coconut Grove is holding personal cooking classes Saturday. It includes a four-course meal, including a glass of wine and pizza made with your own hands. Reservations are required.
And if you want to take part in a good cause, Joshua Williams of The Joshua’s Heart Foundation will be celebrating his 10th birthday; and the foundations 5th anniversary with a fun-filled party at Palm Island Park in Miami Beach.
