Miami Streets Close For Nautica SoBe Triathlon

MIAMI BEACH - (CBS4) - Horsepower move over. Muscle power is expected to take over parts of Miami and South Beach this Sunday.

Vehicles traveling through some streets in downtown Miami will be forced to follow detour signs as the fourth annual Nautica South Beach Triathlon gets underway.

Northeast Second Avenue will be closed north and southbound from NE 14th Street to NE 36th Street to NE 39th Street.

Motorists traveling south on Biscayne Boulevard will not be detoured, however, they should expect delays at NE 38th, 36th and 14th Streets – these are the areas where race participants will be crossing Biscayne Boulevard.
The entrance ramps for I-195 from NE 36th Street and I-395 from NE 11th Terrace will be closed to eastbound traffic from Biscayne Boulevard.  Venetian Causeway can be used to gain access to Miami Beach.

City of Miami Police Officers will be placed along the road closures to provide assistance. Streets are expected to reopen after 11 a.m.
