TAMARAC (CBS4)- A man has died in a deputy-involved shooting in Tamarac Tuesday night.

Broward Sheriff’s Office said the shooting occurred near Nob Hill Road and McNab Road during an undercover operation around 8:45 p.m.

BSO said investigators set up a meeting with a known armed subject. They said the man was wearing a bullet-proof vest and pulled out a handgun.

That’s when he was shot multiple times, BSO said.

The man was rushed to the hospital but later died.

Officers are questioning people at the scene.

According to BSO the Metro Broward Task Force was involved in the operation.

The officers involved will be placed on administrative leave for at least three days.
