UM Baseball Coach Recovering From Surgery

MIAMI (CBS4) – University of Miami baseball coach Jim Morris is doing well Saturday night after having gall bladder surgery Friday at the UM Hospital, UM baseball spokesman Bryan Harvey said.

News partner The Miami Herald is reporting that Morris, 61, hopes to be back with his team sometime next week.

Morris missed the second game of the season Friday when the Hurricanes faced Appalachian State, and lost 7-5. That was their second loss last week after Wednesday's game against Florida Atlantic University.

Friday was the first time Coach Morris has missed a game since 2002, according to the Herald.
