Haslem On Track For April Return

MIAMI (CBS4) - The Miami Heat are the hottest team in the NBA right now, but they could get even better as the playoff run hits in April.

According to South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Heat forward Udonis Haslem said he's on schedule to return in April from a torn ligament in his left foot.

Haslem is now in a walking boot, which he will wear for the next six weeks. That should come off around the end of February or the beginning of March.

Haslem will be welcomed back into the lineup, but he may find it tough to find minutes. The current Heat roster is playing lights out right now and as Mike Miller has found out, getting back into the lineup can be quite a challenge.

For Haslem, it probably will not be as hard as it has been for Miller. Haslem will provide a big, physical, rebounding presence on the block that the Heat can always use more of. Plus, if Haslem is 100 percent going into the playoffs, he can provide valuable rest to Chris Bosh, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, and Joel Anthony.
