Hialeah Police Seek Pawn Shop Robbers

HIALEAH (CBS4) -A disturbing armed robbery was caught on tape and shows a terrified customer caught in the middle.

The surveillance video from the Hialeah Pawn shop shows a rifle toting man forcing a customer to the floor as another man smashes a display case.  He grabs a hand full of jewelry and they take off.

"We're asking for the public's help in identifying and locating these dangerous criminals," said Hialeah police spokesman Eddie Rodriquez.

Authorities believe the robbers where in the store two days before the robbery pretending to be customers.

Investigators say two of three men shown on the surveillance tape fit the descriptions of the two robbers.

"These are two guys easily recognizable. They have facial hair, the vehicle that they are in, the type of attire that they're wearing," says officer Rodriquez.

"Panico," says Carmen Morcello in Spanish. She works at a beauty shop next door to the pawn shop.

"Boom, boom, pistola," says Morcello's client Luisa Leon.

While both speak little English, their reaction says it all, expressing they fear they felt just hearing about the robbery next door.

Paralyzing fear that engulfed the customer who came face to face with the rifle toting robber and his accomplish, both of who authorities hope to find soon.

"So if you know who these people are we're asking you to help us indentify them, call us as soon as possible," says Officer Rodriquez.

Authorities say luckily no one was hurt and they're hoping the surveillance video will help lead to an arrest.
