Miami and South Florida have Caribbean rhythms flowing on the roads, over the airwaves and at night when these five clubs open their doors playing salsa, merengue, bachata and reggaeton. Music makes the world go round, and the Hispanic influence is no more apparent in South Florida than when at a night club–seeing everyone moving beautifully and smiling, laughing and enjoying themselves. Any tourist wishing to go sight-seeing in Miami should attend any of these clubs which are in great areas of Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

Avenue D Jazz & Blues Lounge
8 S. Miami Ave.
Miami, FL 33130

The creators of Avenue D have tapped into Miami’s past as the lounge’s location was once along Flagler & Avenue D in the 1920s. It then became the Burdines department store and the once great name is still written on the entrance doors. Jazz, blues and Latin jazz bands play at Avenue D throughout the month with DJs playing Latin music on specific days. The layout of the establishment is similar to a sultry jazz club with dim lights, a high stage and wood floors. The key is being in the center of Downtown Miami and feeling the mix of the urban landscape with the rhythms from the band.
