Best Places To Watch 4th of July Fireworks In Miami

The 4th of July is one of those great family events that everybody loves to participate in and nobody does the holiday quite like Miami. This city offers the perfect spot to watch the fireworks whether you're a party animal, a family guy or girl or just a spectator. Plan an Independence Day celebration like none other.

Coconut Grove is having its annual fireworks at Peacock Park, but festivities begin long before then. Barnacle Historical State Park will be hosting arts and crafts for the kids along with a picnic for families. There will also be a hot dog eating contest. The festivities will then be moved to Peacock Park for a fireworks celebration beginning at 9 p.m. While this event will be crowded, it's a great idea for nature lovers who want to enjoy the fireworks in a more natural setting.

Enjoy the fireworks from the bay at Bayfront Park's annual fireworks bash. The park is open all day, featuring a kids zone mid-afternoon so that the children can blow off a little steam before the fireworks begin later that night. There will be concessions on hand, and music will play throughout the day. Plan on arriving at least an hour early to find parking in the busy downtown area and to get a great spot to watch the fireworks.

This 4th of July bash is best for the party animals, jazz enthusiasts and beach lovers. The City of Miami Beach is hosting its annual Independence Day celebration, and it kicks off with an old-school blues concert from Big Poppa E and the E band followed by a performance by the South Florida Jazz Orchestra with featured vocalist Nicole Henry. The fireworks cap off a magical night under the stars. This annual event is always crowded, so arrive early for parking and to find a great place to watch the fireworks.

This one is for the true patriots. The festivities begin with a jet flyover followed by a parade on Crandon Boulevard feature patriotic floats from members of the Key Biscayne community. Line up on Crandon between Harbor Drive and West Enid to get a good spot for the show. If you've ever heard a terrible version of the National Anthem, don't miss out on the talent at this year's anthem competition. Someone is sure to soothe those ringing ears. At sunset, enjoy a splendid fireworks display to top off the perfect day with the family.

If you feel like milling around the whole day or just doing your own thing and then joining the crowd later, then this event is perfect for you and yours. Florida International University is hosting fireworks overlooking the bay beginning at sundown. It will also offer children's games and live entertainment. Its very similar to the event at Bayfront Park except the crowds will be much smaller and the parking will be easily accessible. This is where you want to go to be a part of the celebration and escape at the same time.
