Open since 1955, Arthur Murray Dance Studio has been running longer than any other dance studio in the world. Throughout that time, they have produced some nationally ranked professional and amateur competitive dancers. Today, they teach social dancing, especially for weddings and parties. Lessons in dances such as tango, bolero, cha cha, fox trot, hustle, mambo, merengue, rumba, salsa, samba, swing, Viennese waltz, waltz and West Coast swing are all offered. Catering to both children and adults, In Motion Performing Arts Center provides dance lessons in styles of ballet, tap, jazz, modern and contemporary. However they also go beyond these classical forms, offering lessons in hip-hop, pilates, jazz funk, ballroom and vocal/musical theater. Preparatory classes are available to those auditioning for the New World School of the Arts. Voted Miami's Best Dance Center by "The New Times," they instruct dancers at every level.

At Miami Dance & Music Academy, you can take dance classes with your child. For children ages 6 and under, they offer smaller class sizes and a teaching assistant. The Academy has a 6,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility complete with one way observation windows and TVs in the lobby to watch your child at all times. They also offer one on one private music lessons. Adults can take some private lessons with their child for free. They teach ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, pointe, modern, belly dancing, flamenco, kindergarten dance, acrobatics, piano, guitar and voice.

Peaches School of Dance and Music is a studio that offers classes to children ages 3 into adulthood, no matter their level of dance or music experience. They provide lessons in hip-hop, ballet, baby dance, jazz, acrobatics, contemporary, modern, musical theater, Latin ballroom, tap, voice, piano and guitar. Peaches even teaches drama and improvisational theater. They provide performance opportunities through recitals, offer workshops taught by guest faculty and their elite and senior dance teams have the chance to attend Broadway Dance Center classes in New York City.

At the Coconut Grove Ballet Dance Center, the main focus is ballet training. Classes begin for children between the ages of 5 and 7. However, they do offer adult classes as well. Students can climb the ladder from beginner to advanced levels. Ballet classes follow a strict syllabus, which focuses on proper technique and alignment with influences from the Vaganova, Abt and Finis Jhung methods of teaching. They do offer other forms of dance classes in addition to ballet including tap, hip-hop, modern, jazz, acrobatics and flamenco.
