The Side Ponytail Braid

Use a plastic hair tie to create a loose side ponytail to your liking. Using a French teasing comb, slightly tease the ponytail to create a messy end result. Braid the teased hair into a basic, three-section braid and tie the ends. Loosen the braid with your fingers to create an uneven and messy effect. Remove this FIRST hair tie by gently cutting it off. Be careful not to cut your hair! This simple yet stylish look is great for a number of different occasions.

The Bohemian Headband

Create soft beachy waves using a curling wand and a light-to-medium hold hairspray. Begin your three-section braid at the temple starting at the front hairline, working your way towards the back center of the head (repeat this step on the opposite side). Use a clear plastic band to join the two braids together and tie the remaining ends of your hair in a knot to cover the plastic band. This sexy hairstyle is a great daytime look.

Braided Buns Are Fun

Using a light-hold hairspray, style your hair back into a low ponytail (you may choose to tease the crown area to create volume). Split your ponytail in half. Using only the first half, create a clean onion or sock bun. (Unsure how to create an onion bun? No problem. You can purchase a step-by-step kit at your local ULTA.) Use the second half of your ponytail to create a simple three-section braid. Wrap the braid around the bun and use hair pins to secure it in place. This sophisticated bun can be worn to a gala, a wedding, a cocktail party or any other events with dressier attire.
