Who’s More Sad? Packer Player Who Nearly Blocked 49ers’ Game-Winning Field Goal Or Eeyore?

Ok so cards on the table, I didn’t have a dog in that 49ers-Packers game last week. But you can’t help feeling a little lousy for the Packers player who was this close to blocking the Niners’ last second field goal, which sealed the win. Just how close was he? You tell me.

Now, Green Bay isn’t a kind place to lose a football game. That fella’s gotta be pretty sad right now. But it got us thinking – is he sadder than Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh? Let’s go to the tape.

Sad Packer Player

Sad Eeyore

Nope. It's too depressing to look up. I'm happy leaving him anonymous. Do I Know His Name? Yes, it's Eeyore.
Green Bay. *Shudder* Live in? The rural Hundred-Acre Woods.
After Green Bay snuck into the playoffs? I can’t imagine he’s amongst friendly faces. Strong Support Group? Why of course! Between Christopher Robin, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and the rest, Eeyore is surrounded by supporting friends.
The 49ers. Defeated by? Self.
I’m going with "no." Does Anyone Celebrate Him? Yep! Austin, TX actually celebrates his birthday every April.
All-around good guy and mustachioed man Aaron Rodgers, who just came back from an injury. Who’d He Let Down? No one, really. He’s just kinda mopey.
Probably cheese. Consoles Self With? Attention.

The winner is

Sad Packer Player
6 out of 7

Oh my, ladies and gentlemen. He might have lost the game, but he’s won this one in a big way. With a dominant score of 6-1, the Packer Player who missed the field goal block is the saddest creature out there. Whomp whomp.

Tale Of The Tape: Football vs. Futbol

With the World Cup still going strong and the NFL just weeks away from getting started it seemed like a fun idea to compare the two sports that share the same name…sort of. From the global “futbol” to the American “football” these sports are two of the most popular in their own right. As somewhat of a disclaimer I will add that this Tale of the Tape is being written by an American, though I am a big soccer fan. That being said, let’s start the debate.
