The ink is still drying on the agreement between Miami-Dade County and the Miami Dolphins to send a stadium renovation deal to the voters, but if you want to have a chance to vote in the special election, you have precious little time to make sure you’re registered to vote.
As people voted hours after midnight on election night, Miami-Dade county leaders were scrambling to fix what had been days of chaos.
While Miami-Dade County saw some of the longest lines to vote in the state, the County finished counting its ballots Thursday as other large counties like Palm Beach and Broward continue to try to tally the final vote.
The November general election is a little less than five weeks away, but thousands of voters can start voting in South Florida this weekend. Around 172,000 absentee ballots went out Friday morning and will arrive in mailboxes across the area over the next few days.
