We are all familiar with solar eclipses, where the moon passes in front of the sun blocking out the sun’s light, now we’re in for another amazing celestial event, a transit of the planet Venus across the Sun.

Those fearful of a full moon might want to stay inside Saturday night to avoid the “Super Moon.” May’s full moon will hit on Saturday night into Sunday and is called a “super Moon” and will appear as much as 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than other full Moons of 2012
