Millions of dollars have been spent on campaign ads leading up to Tuesday’s General Election. While the focus has been on the tight race between Governor Rick Scott and challenger Charlie Crist, voters in Broward have a number of other issues to decide. One of the biggest is whether to approve an $800 million bond to improve the county’s schools.
The nation’s sixth-largest school district, Broward County, wants to drastically improve its schools and took the first step toward achieving that goal Tuesday night.
It wasn’t just political offices Miami-Dade County voters had to evaluate during Tuesday’s election. They made their voices heard on a variety of proposed amendments to the Miami-Dade County Charter.
